Q1: Why do you need to install the camera outside the vehicle?
The working waveband of thermal imaging technology is 8~14μm long-wave
infrared region, which cannot be detected through the glass, so please mount
the camera on the centre of the bonnet of the vehicle. The camera of InsightDrive X1 is waterproof and dust-proof in IP67 level and resistant to sand
and gravel impact, so it can be easily applied in most of the driving scenarios.

Q2: Is there any radiation hazard in thermal imaging technology?
Thermal imaging technology only collects the thermal information emitted by
objects and does not emit any radiation actively, so please use it at ease.
Q3: Why does the image freeze sometimes during operation?
Due to the technical characteristics of thermal imaging, the camera requires
shutter update for every certain period of time to ensure the imaging stability
under continuous operation.
The camera of InsightDrive X1 comes with a shutter inside, which will be updated automatically within the time specified. When the shutter is reopened after being closed, it will freeze the image instantly and make a clicking sound, signaling that the shutter update is complete.
Q4: Why does the image become fuzzy in rainy days?
The detection of thermal imaging is affected by raindrop, which has strong
absorption and scattering of thermal radiation. InsightDrive X1 is specially
designed with “Rainy Mode” to increase the frequency of shutter update to
ensure the imaging effect in rainy days. (Notice: It is inapplicable under
rainstorm)
